At Liste Art Fair, we present *White Chrome and Dead* by Magdalena Petroni, an evocative exploration of life, death, and the organic-synthetic divide through *Flatline Gothic* materialism. Inspired by Mark Fisher, her sculptures—twisted chrome, car parts, and taxidermied birds—merge with chlorine-stained paintings, evoking eerie vibrancy. Blurring theory and fiction, the booth becomes a space where decay and creation coexist, inviting viewers into a gothic industrial landscape.
Magdalena Petroni (b.1986) studied Visual Arts at IUNA and completed programs at SOMA (2023) and Torcuato Di Tella (2020–21). She has had solo shows at General Expenses, Ruina, and Nixon, with a 2026 exhibition at SculptureCenter. She has exhibited at Museo Tamayo and Rosalux Dotcom, among others, and received awards, residencies, and grants in Argentina and Mexico.
