Through his explorations of form and material, Théo Combaluzier’s work relates to both minimalism and conceptualism. Combaluzier’s sculptures offer hybrid configurations of the domestic space, conceptually deconstructed and reformed. Drawing inspiration from sectional architectural views, these everyday structures carry and transmit social memory. His practice is an ongoing investigation into the ways local traditions mould our understanding of liminal spaces, places and community.
Théo Combaluzier (b. 1999) is a Veyras-based artist with a MFA from Villa Arson in Nice (2023). Recent exhibitions have been held at Super Super Markt in Berlin, Villa Arson Art Center in Nice, and Burning Bridges, in Ulsan. His works explore marginal elements of the built environment, transforming the mundane into enigmatic installations.
