G Gallery is proud to present a duo exhibition by Seoul-based artists Woo Hannah (b. 1988) and Hwang Sueyon (b. 1981). Led by Woo’s fabric sculpture Bleeding series at the forefront, Hwang’s paper relief Small and Sharp series is aligned as if following the linear paths of light filtering through a window, creating a visual rhythm. Where the sanctity of salvation and the harshness of destruction coexist, they embody contrasting values of fragility and resilience, softness and rawness, while evoking totems for protection as well as the collapse and decay associated with death.
