The installation How to Make Yachts Extinct? is part of a multi-year artistic campaign titled Redistribute Extinction (2022-ongoing) by artist Jonas Staal, that asks: how to make extinct the things that cause our extinction?

The installation makes the case that it is not only desirable to disarm yachts, but that it is our collective responsibility to do so. Central to the installation is a lightbox and a series of paintings that depict burning yachts.
