Beatrice Bonino’s works are like fragments of memory, partial remnants of ephemeral events, stories remained untouched. Their faded tones and textures are reminiscent of well-worn, frequently washed or never-used belongings. They encourage to reflect on the concept of intrinsic value, meant as rarity, monetary value, preciousness, generating a new aesthetic category. Even after leaving her installations, viewers continue to sense their presence, shifting between unveiling and concealment, asserting that materials— found boxes, ribbons, rubbers and plastics—continually transform.

Beatrice Bonino (b.1992, Turin) lives and works between Paris and Turin; holds a PhD in Sanskrit at Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle. Selected solo and group exhibitions have been held at Radio Athènes, 11 Parthenon, Schiefe Zähne and Galerie Molitor in Berlin, Bonner Kunstverein in Bonn, Ermes Ermes and MACRO in Rome, MMXX, Milan and Jacqueline Sullivan gallery in New York.
