So Obsessed with Possessing explores the intersection of the body and botanical specimens to interrogate historical and contemporary narratives surrounding women. Drawing from her background in observation-based drawing and storytelling, the project critiques women as both subjects and objects. It uses the cabinet of curiosities to reflect the historical commodification of women, revealing how colonial botanical practices and patriarchal art traditions have shaped women’s identities.
