For Liste 2025, Numanohashi presents Paul Gondry and Itsuki Kaito, a two-person booth with our concept exploring a theme of transformation and Illicit reflection. Gondry's paintings navigate dreamlike scapes where forms emerge from richly textured surfaces, merging classical references with personal unease. His images are present in varying states of dissolution between memory and personal lore. Kaito's works explore subtle vulnerabilities through abstracted bodily representations, inviting intimate encounters with prying eyes. Together, their works inhabit a charged psychological space where ‘brief images’ become a glimpse of clarity that reveal latent confusion and desire—creating visceral encounters that linger long after viewing.
